Annie the Musical

Broadway Kids Camp

June 29 - July 3, 9am till Noon

For ages 6 to 12

Introduction to Broadway. Every day we are going to play theatre games as well as introduce the kids to famous Broadway shows and other components of musical theatre. For the show at the end of the camp, the kids will pick their own numbers and the directors will guide their performances. There will be a two number limit on each student although they do not have to do that many if they do not want to. There will also be a  group number which will include everyone.

James and The Giant Peach (Musical Play)

Casting Day: Sat, June 27, 2015

Ages 8 and up

Aug 3 through 14, 9am till Noon

Aug 17 through 21, 9am to 5pm

An Evening of Shakespeare

A two week immersive Shakespeare event.

Casting Meeting: Saturday July 18, 10am 

 

Rehearsals: July 20-31, 1pm-5pm

Culminating in an Evening of

Shakespeare Show on Friday night July 31. 

 

The Evening of Shakespeare will showcase student participants in 3 performances: an individual monologue, song, or combination, a duet or small group scene or song performance, and a large group scene.  

 

Over the period of 2 weeks of rehearsal:

 

  • Students will be given an introduction to

       Shakespeare and many of his well-known

       plays and sonnets.  

  • Students will be given the option to choose

       standard Shakespearean delivery, modern translation or song for individual and duet or small group performances. 

  • Students will be able to choose the plays or sonnets they prefer for their own individual and duet or small group performances. Students will audition for and perform a 10-15 minute piece from A Midsummer Night's Dream, the play within the play, taking on the roles of the performers: Bottom, Quince, Flute, Starveling, Snout, Snug, and Philostrate.

  • Students will have the opportunity to learn about and perform the works of one of the world's most renowned writers in 3 unique ways.

 

The show will consist of 7 individual performances, 2-3 small group performances, and one performance of the entire event group.  

 

The performance on Friday night should be one exciting and unforgettable hour of Shakespearian entertainment!

SummerProv Improv Camp

Dates: August 3 through 7, 1pm-4pm

For ages 7 to 12

 

During this week the students will be learning the skill of improv through the structure of games! Games like the Dating Game and Party Quirks will help your student develop  thinking on their toes and how to think like their character. These skills will not only help them in theater but it will help them in real life! So come on out for all the laughs and learning!
