Tuition and Recital Fees

The rates for voice lessons are as follows: 

30 minute lesson = $30

60 minute lesson = $60, etc. 

 

At the end of each semester a voice recital is conducted.  Participation in the recital is optional but highly encouraged.  The fee for the recital is $25 per student and includes unlimited admission, music programs, and pre-recorded musical accompaniment.  Live piano accompaniment may be provided for an additional fee.

 

Payment Policy

Payment is due at the beginning of the month for all lessons in that month.  Monthly tuition is calculated on a per lesson basis.  For example, months that have 4 lessons will be billed at 4 times the per lesson rate, months that have 5 lessons will be billed at 5 times the per lesson rate.  If one of the lessons in that month falls on a holiday the student and teacher will select a make-up lesson time so as to preserve the number of lessons in that month.  All checks should be made payable to Upstage Arts.

 

24 Hour Notice Cancellation Policy

To present you with this high caliber of music instruction, our teachers must be fairly compensated for their time. When you sign up for a month of lessons, you are reserving both a time slot from your teacher and a teaching room. This commitment that each student makes with his or her instructor is why we have a 24 Hour Cancellation Policy:

• 24 Hour Notice:  If the student needs to miss a lesson (feeling sick, doctors appointment, out of town, schedule conflict) the student shall provide notice to the teacher via phone (leave a message if no answer) at least 24 hours before the lesson.  If the student notifies the teacher at least 24 hours before the lesson, the student may schedule a ‘make-up’ lesson at a time that works for the student and teacher.  This may occur no more than twice per semester.

• Unexcused Absence: If the student does not notify the teacher at least 24 hours before missing a lesson, that lesson is forfeited and no refund shall be made nor shall any ‘make-up’ lesson be provided. 

• Teacher Absence: Our teachers make every effort to avoid cancellation.  In the rare event that a teacher must cancel a lesson, he or she will arrange for a make-up lesson with the student at a time convenient for the student.
